Frustrated with the quality of the standard, rubber, slow pitch strike mats; Mike decided to take matters into his own hands. "I created a product out of my love for the game. I've been playing ball for longer then I can remember. As an outfield player I grew tired that I couldn't hear the ball hit the mat and track the count myself." From age 3 Mike has played ball with some of his best memories being hitting a ball out to his dad or cousin as he shouted out the names of the "big hitters". Growing up in a baseball loving family he grew up watching the Toronto Blue Jays, which are now his favorite team. Starting slow pitch in 2014, he met his wife in a slow pitch league and went to win the NSA world series in Hamilton in 2018 and 2019. Mats by Mike was truly born out of the love of the game!
